MobiCash shortlisted for Best Mobile Payments Solution award
We are pleased to announce that MobiCash has been shortlisted for Best Mobile Payments Solution in the ninth annual Payments Awards.
MobiCash made the final shortlist based on its capabilities to enable charities to transform their fundraising strategies from a primarily cash-based approach to a mobile-first approach.
With the world becoming increasingly cashless, the volume of donations made in cash has significantly reduced, making traditional ways of collecting charitable donations less sustainable every day. Collecting donations via MobiCash is quick and convenient, and brings a number of additional benefits that complement a charity’s fundraising efforts. It not only maximises donation potential by offering more collection points - by QR code, online or in-app, but also increases donations by enabling contributors to add Gift Aid, allowing the charity to receive an extra 25p for every £1 donated.
Scott Lane, Business Development Director, Mobile Payments at Compass Plus, said: “This award nomination is a deserved recognition for the work we have done in helping UK charities eliminate the need to handle cash by offering a way for them to accept donations remotely. By using MobiCash, charities can boost fundraising activities and encourage one-off contributors to become regular donors – it provides them with a convenient and safe way to support the causes that mean most to them.”
The Payments Awards recognises companies and solutions that have shown an innovative approach to changing the payments landscape. It is organised by FSTech and Retail Systems. The winners will be announced on 11 November 2021.
